Though I’d quickly mention what I’m doing for now about the whole Tumblr situation going on.

As a generally safe blog, I don’t have too much to worry about. Only about 2-3 completely innocent posts were flagged and I’ve got them all cleared up already. I do plan on sticking around still. Just regardless of what happens I’m still going to kind of low on new posts at least until Season 9 of MLP begins. Because coming really soon is Smash Ultimate and I’m going to spend a lot of time playing that game.

I still ordered some of my blog to get back-upped via the Export button just in case. But yeah, for now I don’t plan on leaving even if the mass exodus means less followers are around.

I know I’ve been a bit late with episode responses. I may just have to tell you that now for at least the rest of this season I’ll get to doing the episode responses when I want to rather then try to get one within the week after the episode aired. I’ll certainly at least try to get Matter of Principals’ response done by next week.

The Hearth’s Warming episode I might even delay it’s response til’ after the season to try to connect it with the 1-hour Christmas special we’re getting in December.

Stuff like hype for Smash Ultimate as well as other things that have been going on has just made it harder for me to find time to even do small episode responses. Been also catching all or most of the early airings so I can have a solid plan for at least a couple of episodes moving forward.

Hey there just putting a quick note out there on 3 things

1. First of which is in regard to the Smash contest. It is open once again to being able to switch characters and/or new sign-ups now that E3 is over. However we still have no winners yet. As no one picked a veteran that was not in Smash 4, Daisy, or Ridley. But as mentioned before the contest runs for the entire game’s lifetime (In regards to gaining new characters anyway). There could still be reveals in-between now and the release of the game. Plus there is the full roster reveal once the game comes out, and then there’s always DLC. So this contest is far from over. That said that was SOOOOO hype and I cannot wait until December! ^^

2. 2nd of which I do have an idea already for the episode response to the mid-season finale we got for Season 8 of Friendship is Magic. Though it’s not going to be a big thing either way. But I’m still going to delay making it just yet. Though this is mainly because of the 3rd thing that is a decently big-sized update

3. And that last thing is something I have planned to hopefully be ready for the 20th this month. And it will be mostly on the group blog Ain’t Never Had Friends Like Us

NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO SPECIFIC SPOILERS IN THE INITIAL PART OF THIS NOTE THOUGH SOME IMPORTANT FUTURE STUFF THAT I THINK IS WORTH MENTIONING SO WE CAN PREPARE FOR IT WILL BE OUTLINED. IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ANY KIND OF SPOILERS REGARDING SEASON 8 AND/OR EQUESTRIA GIRLS. DO NOT CLICK AFTER THE BREAK.

Hey everyone, this weekend we surely got a big shake up in news recently with a huge leak that contains plans for the future of MLP from as early as next year for Season 8 to as late as 2020-2021. Now I won’t mention any specifics right out in public view. I’ll keep some thoughts on what I know for after the break. So if you don’t mind delving into what was revealed and are curious of what my impressions are on things. Then feel free to check after the break. Otherwise, ignore it if you’re in no mood for any spoilers right now.

There are however a few things we now know from this leak that I think is especially important to know. I don’t count it as a spoiler because this is the kind of thing that’s always in the back of our minds especially with a show that’s gone on for this long so we can prepare for it : The question of when will it end, and furthermore… what will come after?

According to plans laid out in the leak. Season 9 will be the final season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

And that’s not all, it might very well be the end of Generation 4 as a whole. As concept art of what looks to be the beginnings of a Generation 5 coming in 2020-2021 were revealed as well.

So as it stands, we have at least 2-3 years left of the current show/generation we’ve come to enjoy. With an uncertain future ahead as from what we can gather, already looks to have some odd changes that will certainly at least take many people some time getting used to for those most familiar with G4 (Specifics on why that is will be mentioned below the break)

This is absolutely the biggest takeaway that I think needs to be spread amongst the fandom. So we can properly prepare for the show’s ending. It’ll be sad when the final episode has aired. But I think by then in our hearts we’ll know it had a good run.  9 Seasons, a feature-length movie, and a decently successful spin-off series is going to be a tough act to follow even if G5′s show turns out to be good. The only regret I’d say is I wish the MLP movie we got came sooner in this generation’s lifetime so there could of been a chance at a 2nd movie that could of improved on some things. Or at the very least have a 2nd movie be G4′s true finale to really go out with a bang. Instead, the next movie will serve as the pilot for G5 which will come with some amount of uncertainty.

As for how this effects Genie Twilight related matters. I fully intend to ride it out to the final season and final episode response. And definitely last at least a little after the show has officially ended. I just can’t be 100% sure if I’ll be still going by the time Generation 5 begins. With the end of G4 incoming, I do have to start thinking on ending this blog eventually too. This won’t be until at least 2-3 years from now, alot can change in that time. But nothing lasts forever. I’m full of uncertainty myself about it. I’m not so sure what I’ll move on to after I’m finished. But at least I have a fair bit of time to figure that out.

Hey just a quick mod note that I’ve updated the sidebar on the main page with some clickable images rather than the text they were for years.

Episode Responses are now separated from the specials. Each represented in the banners by some of my favorite episode responses for that particular season. And although Season 7 isn’t quite over yet (officially in the US anyway) I thought I’d add that already. As I doubt the next 2-3 episodes have something I will want to replace Twi’s Mom with. (Cause I might be biased like that hehe)

But other stuff like the specials, important stuff like the FAQ and my Mod blog, as well as of course the Discord server all have their own images too.

Hey just want to say real quick that the episode response for Once Upon A Zeppelin might be late. As in I might not have the response for it done until next week after another new episode has aired. I usually like to have a response done before the next episode airs. But I think in this case it’s going to be a little delayed. Some of the reason for that is this response might be one of the longest in a long while.

As for things on the movie, though I said I might do something for it the week after. I’m actually going to wait until sometime after Season 7 is officially over (As in the Season Finale has aired on TV plus after I’ve done the response to the finale). I was also going to give a first impression thing once I did see it. But decided to wait a bit before giving my full thoughts. However, if you want to know my thoughts about anything specific feel free to ask me over on my mod blog.
