This is the part that at least by the end, we start to get to the real classics. Or at least the ones I think stand out as some of the best the show has to offer. I am not saying that a majority of the episodes until now have been bad. On the contrary there’s a lot of episodes I’ve already covered that I definitely really like. Or at the very least something I enjoy from the episode. Even in the Bottom 12, for the exception of Rainbow Falls, there’s something I do like even from what’s listed in the worst episodes. It’s just here where things start to get to the episodes that have raised the bar for this show. Before we get to the episodes though, we have the most recent Equestria Girls Movie which is #35 sharp. But from there it will be pretty great Pony episodes from then on.
((tl;dr Warning. This may be quite long to read since I talk about every notable scene that I wanted to talk about regarding this movie. And of course if you haven’t seen the movie do not read this, as the spoilers are major. But if you have seen the movie, and don’t mind some gushing about Friendship Games then please read all you can ^^))
Don’t worry no spoilers here and this will be real short.
But I really did like Friendship Games. It’s automatically my favorite of the three. And one EQG film I can say I throughly enjoyed pretty much completely. Let me give you a overview of what I’d give each of the 3 films in an out of 10 score.
For Equestria Girls 1 it has always been pretty much a 5 out of 10 where it just wasn’t impressive in the slightest. Though I wouldn’t say it’s the worst thing ever either.
Rainbow Rocks was a large improvement at about 7 out of 10 for me. With the best soundtrack out of the three to boot.
Friendship Games for me may just be a solid 8 or 9 out of 10. I enjoyed what I was excited for, and there were many small things that also helped out with my liking. I’ll have a full detailed thoughts up by either Monday or Tuesday to fully explain why I actually really liked this one. As someone who’s kinda been a critic of Equestria Girls stuff in the past, I can safely say Friendship Games got alot right. You can kinda say it’s actually won me over a little. But I don’t want to go on for too much here, just wait for when I manage to get a rewatch and then I’ll give my full detailed review of why I liked this one so much even as someone who wasn’t fond of Equestria Girls at first.
