I couldn’t answer this one because the person who sent it (Username: Sonicmon) sent it in submission and had no Ask or Submit box to send him a message. Even tried following him and then using Fanmail but then it said I wasn’t following the blog long enough. For now I’ll answer it here until I finally have a way of replying. Though I would of liked it if he put it through an ask or submitting to my Mod Blog instead.

I recently have read you new story arc and was just curious as to why you made this decision. Let me start by saying that I have no feelings either way you go. I was just wondering why you decided to follow the cannon storyline as well as your own?

I’m just wondering if it’s out of personal interest for Alicorn Twilight? If it would be easier to follow the new season? Is it because you felt you had to co-align with the cannon?

It’s a mixture of the first two. When Season 3 was coming along I wanted to make sure to give to give a fun image response to each one. While potential problems can happen such as possible retconning (On either the Canon side or the Blog side) if something I said in the blog is different from what  the show eventually has. And if it isn’t obvious by now, I approve of Alicorn Twilight. So that definitely wasn’t something I wanted to not have something for regarding this blog.

It’s not because I felt I HAD to co-align with Canon. I just want to, because I think part of the fun I wanted to have with this blog was a bit of interactivity with the show, while at the same time giving initial thoughts on the episode. How I have it set up is that Twilight became a Genie during the Post-Season 2 break as you could call it. Trying to stay that the really big difference between Genie Twi’s timeline is that she went on a life-changing field trip to Saddle Arabia, while Canon Twi didn’t. Though it’s not to say I’ve been totally 100% with canon, as Genie Twi kinda shortens Magic Duel by alot.
