This episode was an interesting one for sure and allows a bit of a deeper look into the characters of most of the Student Six.

The Tree of Harmony also being able to make a spirit of itself in the form of one or more of the Mane 6 is interesting too. Though as some have noted already it seems something is kind of creepy about the spirit that’s hard to pin down exactly. But stuff like trapping people in fear traps especially in the case of Gallus plus the whole demeanor the spirit acts in, hell the storyboards seem to almost imply it was supposed to be even creepier then the show portrayed it.

I like to think of it it’s just the tree not knowing normal pony behavior exactly and could possibly be taught not to be so unnerving which was the whole idea for my response to this one. But kinda hope we see the spirit show up again in Season 9 sometime to see if it can do more then we saw here.

Next episode response will probably be the final one of the season not counting the Christmas special response that might tie-in with the Hearth’s Warming episode we got earlier. And it will be for Episode 24 of this season. It’s not going to be a particular huge response. But I think you know why I kind of have to get a response for that one done. Seeya then.
