Who would of guessed our first real Celestia episode (The two Celestia involved episodes felt more like Twilight and/or Starlight episodes) would result in some humorous results. I will say that while it probably isn’t my favorite episode this season per se, it’s certainly the funniest.

Though at the very least early on we might of gotten more closer to learning Celestia’s age. It’s still vague. But from we hear, Celestia can’t be older then 2000 years because it might of implied that Celestia was a filly or at least a teenager/young adult 1111 years ago.

But anyway this mainly is an episode where Celestia finally gets to show a little more character then she ever has before. We now knows she has a silly side and not just the perfect leader with not many known flaws. In that way Celestia is like a greek god where there’s no doubt she’s a leader and worshipped by all her subjects but she has very human flaws nonetheless. And while that may decrease some general respect for her from some fans. It just makes her more interesting and wonder how despite her flaws how she’s managed to keep Equestria in general harmony for more then thousands of years. It just makes the story much more interesting to hear rather then just “She ruled perfectly besides from the whole drama with banishing her sister” because that’s really all we had for a while early on. We may never know exactly but it does get you thinking.

I also think they did a clever callback to the recent Fluttershy episode by having Fluttershy get herself into a strong persona to take Celestia’s place in the play.

Anyhow, next time we get to see more Pony parents. None of the Main 6’s mind you but still could be interesting to see for sure.
