Now I don’t do this all the time or even most of the time. But after this episode I couldn’t help but think of a scenario where this episode is played in a more mature comedy type of story where all the characters are in a friends with benefits relationship. Where Starlight is hoping for a little more then some friendship bonding with Sun Burst, if you know what I mean. But then later Sun Burst is seen having a foursome with Twilight, Trixie, and Maud without telling Starlight and things get awkward from there. I’d be amused seeing a fan comic like that. It could even be titled “Uncommon Bond in a nutshell”

But anyway it was an interesting episode for sure. Poor Starlight not getting at first that a long time away can really change what your friends do when they’re older. And that can hurt when the one thing you knew usually always worked doesn’t anymore.

Sun Burst’s interactions with Starlight’s friends though were pretty neat though. Though most of all the ending segues directly into the upcoming Season finale. Can you believe we’re almost done with this year of pony? (Well technically we still have some EQG shorts next month and beyond but in terms of just having this whole season plus the big movie will all be completely out there now) it’s surely been a big year for MLP. I will be sure to share both my thoughts on Season 7 overall and the finale itself in the coming days. Seeya then!
