It’s nice to see some of Applejack’s past. Though admittedly I could understand if people find frustration with this episode. As the constant lie after lie can get tiring, and the fact it even ties in the future with why Big Mac isn’t so talkative it may have poor implications for some.

Though at it’s core there is something I can understand that does get right. In that people can definitely be different when they are older, then they were younger/teenagers. As Apple Bloom states near the end no one starts out perfect and it’s the mistakes that we learn that make us who we are.

Though I’m sure another thing about this episode is that it’s yet another episode where people got their hopes up for any mention about Applejack’s Parents. We don’t even know if her parents were already deceased in these events. Though that could also depend on where Applebloom is or if she was even born yet. If she wasn’t born yet, then obviously the parents are still alive somewhere. But if she is then either she’s being taken care of by AJ’s parents somewhere or she’s probably in a baby room in Sweet Apple Acres too young to really remember anything that went on.

On a side note you can see Derpy who also seems to be teenaged (You can see the skinnier legs just like with AJ) and she seems to have even had the incident that derped her eyes back then since she had a bandage over her eyes.

Though speaking of which I think the most notable contribution of this episode may actually be showing the teenage model of a Pony. This could also be an indication that Fluttershy is actually the oldest of the Mane 6 given in the Cutie Mark Chronicle flashback she already had the skinner legs and was taller. So a certainly interesting thing since up until now we’ve seen mainly Mane 6 and CMC size with no in-between.

But anyway, Season 6 is almost finished. Though to those who have seen the UK leaks of the final 3 episodes it is already over. But I won’t say my thoughts on them until I’ve finished the episode responses that will still go weekly as if there was no leak. I’ll just say that overall I have positive thoughts about the last three, though the ending of the Finale still leaves me with mixed feelings that I’ll probably share once we get to that..
