That was a little bit of a sweet episode

Though I must say the episode kinda started off slow for me. It didn’t get real interesting for me yet until about mid-way through close to the moment Rarity’s trying to look for a good gift for Maud. Cause that is when the humor we’ve come to expect from an episode involving Maud starts to shine once more. I thought the best part of the episode was when Rarity takes Maud to the jewelry shop and she says that Boulder thinks the jewels are stuck-up

As they got close to the end, I thought they were going for something like the Party Cannon was something Maud once gave Pinkie years back or so. Especially when Maud was being insistent on knowing what happened to the cannon. I thought that might of been an interesting thought put up though they didn’t mention it.

Though I was thinking in the episode regarding giving up the Party Cannon. I thought there was an episode that implied she had multiple cannons? (Actually I looked it up, no episode implied or showed she had more then one. But one of those Hot Minute things said she had three) If so, the only reason Pinkie would be so sad is if she was particularly attached to that one like maybe it was her very first one. Though given the history of the Pie family being attached to objects it’s certainly possible that’s the case (Which you can see I decided to make that the reason why in the Genie Twilight response). But again nothing really indicates that. And regarding the pouch, it’s made of fabric. Why doesn’t Pinkie just ask Rarity to make one?

Overall, it was a pretty ok episode I’d say. With a good moral that the best gifts are ones you give with love, not trying to one-up each other with the biggest, most expensive gifts. The episode however is kinda on a low-down in entertainment value for me until about halfway through and there may be a few confusing things like I said with Pinkie could of just asked Rarity to make one of those pouches.
