Odd to have the Christmas episode before the Halloween one…

But nonetheless Hearthbreakers was a pretty ok episode. Nice to see an episode based on different traditions that families can have. And it’s important, especially when there’s quite a bit of differences between families. That they respect eachother’s traditions as well as start new ones they can share.

It was quite fun seeing all of Pinkie’s family other then Maud though. Pinkie’s parents sound and act like their more amish appearance.

Limestone Pie’s admittedly a bitch  so I imagine she’ll be the hardest to like of the sisters but this fandom has done wonders for characters before that weren’t portrayed in that good of a light and even turned out correct on a few things (Trixie and Gilda especially) and Limestone wasn’t even really an antagonist in the same way as those two were. Just a mean boss pretty much. Though I think I understand Trixie’s frustrations from Magic Duel a little more. Trixie and Limestone likely bickered each other all day.

And Marble Pie was like seeing Season 1 Fluttershy all over again. Her interactions with Big Mac were also very cute, and instantly made the shippers have mixed feelings because some want to ship them now but are afraid the ship would turn out to be a little incestual in nature because of the possibility of them being Cousins. Though if you really want to ship them, you can look at it two ways: Either the Apples and Pies are not actually related but they would become family as soon as Big Mac and Marble are married, the same could be said for people who ship Applejack and Pinkie together. The other way is even if they are related it’s quite possible they’re distant enough cousins that it would still work. It will nonetheless have a squick factor for some, but hey the animators themselves made Big Mac and Marble go blush blush with each other in multiple scenes. You can’t blame the shippers this time for shipping them. FlutterMac is relatively similar to MarbleMac only that one was definitely fan produced more then show started because there really hasn’t been that much interaction between Fluttershy and Big Mac until Filli Vanilli in Season 4. FlutterMac had hit a peak of popularity even as far back as mid-Season 2. How do I know that? Well let’s just say the ship was popular enough that artists got hostile threats for any pictures depicting Big Mac and Cheerilee together before and after the Hearts and Hooves Day episode…

Aside this though it was a really sweet episode and a great follow-up to two of Season 4’s interesting episodes (Pinkie Apple Pie and Maud Pie).

Next episode is the leaked one so I can actually just watch my download of the episode from last month to watch it again. I could of probably done the Genie Twi episode response a lot earlier and have it ready the day of the episode which is straightly on Halloween. But just in case there’s something I could follow-up on in previous episodes I decided to wait. (Nothing turned out that way though) So the response will be after Halloween but it will still be Halloween/Nightmare Night related. So please understand if it feels late to the party so to speak ^^
