Maybe the streak ended but would it be fine to say a great 3 out of 4? Cause Party Pooped was pretty good I’d say

Again, I have to praise how Pinkie has been done this season. If this continues I could say Season 5 may be Pinkie’s best season. So many good character moments from both Pinkie herself and some of the others like Twilight. Both Pinkie and Twilight had some of their best facial expressions in the series.

Maybe the Yaks were a little one-note, but they were kind of entertaining in their own way. Easily can be a metaphor for anyone who even finds one minor fault with anything and they say they don’t like it. (Which can sometimes be people in this very fandom…)

Pinkie’s travels was fun to see all on it’s own. Seeing Cherry Jubilee again and Pinkie even becoming the drummer for the Ponified version of The Beatles. All so ridiculous but that’s the crazy things that you can really adore from Pinkie.

Though at first I thought the moment where Pinkie was sledding with the young yak child and bringing him back home was going to be the moment that saved the day because maybe that child would of ended up being the leader of the Yaks that were visiting Ponyville’s son or other type of relation. (That child was near that snow monster, so maybe hearing Pinkie saved the life of a young yak would of warmed his heart) it didn’t go that route but nonetheless the ending turned out pretty neat centering around that people don’t travel to get what they’re used to at home. They’re there for a different experience altogether. Granted the Yaks threatening war might of been a bit of an excessive measurement. Just bad relations would of been enough to get the point across but at the very least it all led to a great face look between Celestia and Twilight where you can just tell by their faces they’re saying “You almost started WHAT?!” and “No, no don’t be silly it would of never come to that! Honestly!”

Anyway, the next episode in just a few days I’m actually a little excited for. Remember the 3 ponies that suggested to Twilight in the opening moments of the pilot if they want to come to Moondancer’s party? Well those 3 turn out to be “buddies” that Twilight had in Canterlot and remembering she may have not been the best friend to them then given she wasn’t so strong in friendship of course. Meaning we get to learn a little more about Twilight’s past prior to the series. I’m almost hoping this goes as far back as Twilight’s fillyhood, I have a weakness for Filly Twi. It’s a big reason why Cutie Mark Chronicles is still one of my favorites of the series as well as I can’t hate too much of the first part of Canterlot Wedding. Those flashbacks are just too cuuuuuuuteeee.
