But I was reading the TVtropes page on Ask a Pony. And I saw that Genie Twilight was added in some of the entries on the main page and one of the subpages. As a somewhat common TVTropes reader, I was pleasantly surprised.
Currently the blog has Benevolent Genie, Genie in a Bottle, Inferred Holocaust, Our Genies are Different, and 3 moments of the blog mentioned in the Crowning Moment of Heartwarming subpage. Looking at the history, a user named Godzillawolf added most if not all of it. I don’t know if that user keeps track of Mod Blogs or anything. But if by any chance Godzillawolf does see this, then I just want to say thanks :)

Hehe, I’m glad you’re happy I did an Animaniacs crossover. Like I said, I feel that now it airs on the Hub. That there’s no excuse why there shouldn’t be more crossovers down the stretch. And it’ll be nice to see any come up. And might as well say my favorite Warner. Mine was Yakko, being the most snarky of the group. And I still laugh everytime he says Goodnight everybody after a rather mature joke had been made. I also loved him in the Power Rangers skit.

There’s still some Animaniacs episode’s I’ve never seen. So I’m excited for the last volume coming out next month. I’ve already seen the first 75 episodes since my local library has all 3 volumes so far.

Upon sight of the trio and to my surprise, Pinkie’s grin expanded and she dashed towards the trio and expressed how much she idolized them. I had no idea Pinkie even knew about the Warners. But there she was. I told Pinkie that one of them actually wished for a Pony ride. And she agreed to give one. I figured that, since of all the Ponies in Ponyville. Pinkie’s the one to be a little more carefree. Pinkie was even more excited this time though because she knew of them some how. Pinkie and Wakko went off for a ride around the entire town. I still didn’t know what to say about the three, but from what I saw of them at that time they were very much like Pinkie Pie. Even doing some of those random jokes and gags that I occasionally see Pinkie Pie perform.
Buuuut things turned a little awry when Yakko and Wakko caught sight of Nurse Redheart. Apparently they kind of have a “thing” for nurses, and they chased her around. At that moment I had to stop them, I levitated them into the air and let a rather scared Nurse Redheart run back to her home. I scorned them for this action. Their sister Dot ran out to plead for her my forgiveness for the rash action of her brothers. And well, they weren’t doing anything too bad until that point, so I let them go. But told them they probably should go back to wherever they got here from. As that’s not something most Equestrian places will tolerate. Yakko got a little snarky and asked what’s the worst punishment in this “Technicolor horse land”. Well I responded with being sent to the moon. Wakko thought that wasn’t so bad. Which I followed up by saying for 1000 years. Which seemed to scare them, apparently they’ve been locked up or punished to some place before but not nearly to the level of 1000 years. So they went off ahead and left, still no traces on how exactly they got in here in the first place.
I must say one thing though, their comedy was really funny. Some of the stuff they said, I had to stifle myself to keep my composure.
((Done in honor of the Animaniacs starting to run on the Hub this morning. Technially it started on Christmas Eve but today they started showing it from the beginning. In fact, prior to this post the first 2 episodes of the series aired. While I technially didn’t grow up with the series, as I was too young to see it when it was still airing. I had heard it was essentially one of the greatest cartoons to come out of the 90s. Sure enough when I saw some episodes here and there. Either through some stroke of luck, clips on Youtube, or even DVDs of the show it didn’t disappoint. But I don’t think anything beats having it back on TV for those who loved it back then, or for fans that didn’t give it a chance yet to give it a try. I imagine some very young kids might be very confused as the show is very, very much a 90s show. To the point most of the gags you may not get unless you know your 90s pop culture or even late 80’s
Regardless, being that it’s on the Hub. The same channel that has the show this blog is centered around, I’d really like to see more crossovers with Animaniacs and Friendship is Magic sometime. There is some already, but I think now that they’re on the same channel. Even if of course Animaniacs is just reruns, that there should be no reason there can’t be a good reason to crossover the two.

Yep, the Hub will be airing ol’ Animaniacs episodes now. I loved the channel already just for Ponies, but to have Animaniacs on there is a real treat. I’m afraid I can’t really catch them all the time. But it’s alright because I can always rent the first three DVD volumes from the Library (I’m currently renting the first one in fact)
I recently posted my idea of repeating the previous Tumblr prom. So me and Sketchy (http://sketchynatasking.tumblr.com/) decided to plan this event. So we bring to you
When is this? The set date is 18th-20th of January, but the Prom takes place on the 19th.
What is this Prom thing? It’s just a Tumblr event where you draw your pony with their date, maybe with some friends just having fun. Simple as it gets.
Do I have to draw? No. You can also describe your pony’s evening with text.
How do I ask someone to be my date? Just ask them, via inbox, Skype, Ponysquare or any other way. You choose.

Reblogging on modblog just to say I will be doing some stuff for this. But the reason I’m not reblogging it on the main blog is because I already have a plan set with who I’m collaborating with (In other words who Genie Twi’s date will be is already set). I imagine reblogging it there might get requests to take Genie Twi out even though I’m saying Genie Twi’s sort of “taken” now.
I’ll at least give a hint though. The blog’s mod who I’m doing the prom with is a friend of mine who’ve I’ve had occasional interaction/answered questions with even back when the blog was still only weeks old.
Regardless, I even already made a few sprites of Twilight in her dress. (Which I made completely from scratch) But I don’t know when I’ll reveal them. I could do an early reveal before the event begins (Which will be the 18th) or you may not see it until the event starts. Depends what I feel I should do.

Nah I think I’m fine as it is now. The way I have it now is simple enough that in case I do any more genie bottles (Like I already have done for each of the Main 6 during the Magic Simulation thing) it’s easy to make.
I’m just grateful for any artists that draw Genie Twilight in the first place. If they draw the bottle differently, it’s seriously no big deal because I’m mostly thankful for them drawing Genie Twilight anyway.

Haha thanks. I’ve actually never seen much of I Dream of Jeannie myself. But I figured it’d make a neat name for the blog url (and banner). And that’s nice of you to consider drawing Genie Twi sometime. I’ll be looking forward to seeing that in the submission box :) But of course get the work you need to catch up on first.

Helly guys, first of all and most importantly: Merry Christmas. I got only a few things, but trust me I’m not dissapointed in the slightest. Because one of those gifts was a Nintendo Wii U. I also got New Super Mario Bros. U and some surprise pony related merchandise (My parents are the best for even doing that). One of which was a Lyra shirt.
Anyway, in terms of Genie Twi updates are probably going to be slow because I’ll be wanting to get all I want from the Wii U first. But I still plan on getting something done maybe this weekend? I can’t promise anything, depending how much I’m into playing the Wii U and whatever else I do.
But enjoy a nice time with your loved ones, and have a very merry Christmas
