MOD (i-dream-of-twilight-sparkle/bronyinabottle) NOTE

With Genie Sci-Twi now an official part of Ain’t Never Had Friends Like Us, it’s probably appropriate she gets a turntable/reference sheet like I did for the other ones of mine.

That’s not all though, there is some new buttons on the sidebar

Each one conveniently links to that character’s specific tag. Ordered under appearance and which mod is the head of which ones. Should hopefully be useful for viewers in the future.

Help me with an Episode Response idea! (#9)

Hello everyone, the finale of Season 6 has officially aired. I actually saw it already through the UK Leaks.

But since this is the last episode response until Spring. I thought I’d give you guys a chance to chime in with some idea(/s) for me to implement in a response.

This time it’s actually not out of that I don’t have an idea. As I think I probably could think of a decent script given the time. But just in case you guys have an idea that will make the response better, I thought I’d give you guys that chance.

So… Send me an ask, or reply to this post to help me with an idea for the response to To Where And Back Again

Thank you all for the help you’ve given me for all these responses. It has helped alot. And I hope you liked that I reached out to you guys for some more interaction. I promise I’ll keep this going whenever there’s another episode I’m stumped on or ask for further ideas I hadn’t thought of.

I did hear that originally Phoenix Wright was not going to be involved at all starting with Apollo Justice. But pressure from Capcom forced them to include Phoenix Wright in some fashion anyway. So there is a general feeling that at one point the series was thinking it was done with Phoenix’s story. Now I suppose Phoenix is there for the franchise name recognition and for the older fans that might be a little stubborn about the newer protagonists still have something to look forward to.

There’s there’s still a little more about Apollo’s story that needs to be get done. There is something from Apollo Justice (the game) that still needs a conclusion (Won’t say what it is because again, spoilers)

But yeah, I wonder what else Athena will offer in the future. She kinda gets the short end of the stick in Spirit of Justice with that filler-esque (But pretty funny) Case 4.

Watching a play-through of Spirit of Justice. I have to say, I really think they messed up by making Apollo the lead in the final case. Phoenix was the one making such a stand in Khura’in and really challenging Rayfa's views on what Justice meant. Heck, he even got a nicknake of his own 'The Fighting Phoenix'. Making Apollo, even with the family matter really falls flat. They needed to do something like Apollo's game, switching between the two leads, or focus on Phoenix more.

I could kinda see your point. Given since Apollo has such a major role in the final case. It kinda makes the title of the game Ace Attorney - Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice a bit misleading. I suppose technically after the DLC Case Phoenix Wright still has the most cases in the game (Case 1, Case 3, and the DLC Case - Phoenix. Case 2, and  Case 5 - Apollo, Case 4 - Athena) but considering just the main game they have the same amount of cases. And obviously Case 5 is the one that’s most important to the game’s story and it heavily revolves around Apollo.

This could very well almost be a 2nd Apollo game in all honesty due to this fact. Still, I don’t think I had too much of a problem myself with it. As I enjoyed Case 5 good enough. I do want to be a little careful about talking about it though since the game is just barely a month old and I don’t want to spoil the game for anyone.

But if somebody wants to talk about the game with me over messaging I’m perfectly fine with that.

LEGEND OF EVERFREE THOUGHTS

(Song Used: Crazy Little Voices by Ra)

First I want to say before I get to my thoughts let me overview a bit of my opinions of the previous films.

I didn’t like the first film. It always feels like the staff was given a list of High School movie cliches to hit and barely did anything to make them interesting. The best part of the movie was Twilight fighting with her wings in bed before everything else happens. Aside from one of the catchiest songs in the franchise there’s not much else I’d recommend about the first one. Aside just to see how Rainbow Rocks got where it’s at (Cause otherwise you may be confused on who exactly Sunset is). Because Equestria Girls for me has proven to be one of the few cases where all the sequels continue to blow the first out of the water in every single way.

Rainbow Rocks was a huge improvement, though naturally it still had some things that linger from the first movie. But it truly is a turning point where the series started to try to gain it’s own identity rather then an excuse for Hasbro to sell humanized Pony dolls and try to cash off High School Musical and/or Monster High stuff. With the focus on a battle of the bands, naturally the music is amped up and in particular every one of the songs the Siren’s are amongst some of the best songs this franchise has given us. It does kinda feel like Sunset’s personality changes a little too fast between movies but I think that’s because they didn’t know if they would make another after the first film and when faced with the Sequel had to really make things turn around for Sunset as no doubt she’d be playing a major part from now on as EQG proved successful. There’s a reason that it’s the preferred of the first 3 in most cases, time will tell how people will feel it compares to the fourth as it’s all new. But it was the movie that impressed people enough to started turning around on the series so it still deserves a good amount of credit.

Friendship Games was the movie that officially won me over however thanks in large part of the introduction of Human Twi in the series. It didn’t win over as many people as Rainbow Rocks maybe for not having as good of music and the villains that were advertised either were pretty one-note (Cinch) or didn’t have much screentime (The rest of the shadowbolts) and I admit it’s a flaw of the film. Though for what it did focus on I cherished quite a bit. I view Human Twi as our technical “villain/antagonist” but definitely not in the traditional sense. As all her actions are either not entirely her fault, and the time she does become a villain is the result of the combination of a magic power-up, curiosity, and the corruption in her mind that has resulted from her time in a terrible school environment where most students bully her and even the head of the school isn’t above blackmailing their own students to protect the school’s reputation. I think it really makes one of the more subtly mature morals of the EQG series. And for what it’s worth I feel what it does better then Rainbow Rocks is characterization and a more interesting plotline. I’ve said before that I feel Friendship Games and Rainbow Rocks are at about the same level and they have their strength and weaknesses in different areas. I just prefer what strengths FG has over RR.

But now as we get to the fourth film I think it’s quite possible it’s found a balance that manages to keep a solid quality throughout most of it and it’s now time to get as to why. Catch it after the break.

Help me with an Episode Response idea! (#8)

We’re in the final month of the season, so soon it will be a little while before things are all done on responses until either a Season 7 or the Movie next year. But there’s certainly things I could probably ask for help on.

Send me an ask, or reply to this post to help me with an idea for the response to P.P.O.V.
