I’m in contact with Navitas every few days or so over on Steam. So I thought it’d be proper of me to answer it.
Navitas got a bit of Pony burnout. It’s ok, not everyone can follow one show for so long. He just felt like it was time to move on. He doesn’t dislike the show now or anything. In fact he doesn’t mind when I talk about what happened in the latest episode with him. But otherwise he’s not drawn any Pony related art or watched many Pony stuff (Aside from the 100th episode, but that was a pretty big deal all things considered) as of late.
It doesn’t exactly help when two months ago what seems to have been a Hacker’s doing… all his Tumblr blogs and his dA were deactivated with what looks like no way to get them back.
Because of that Navitas has no public way of telling what’s he’s doing aside from making a new account just to tell people how he’s felt. So if you want to, feel free to spread to any other concerned friends you know that were also fans of Twixie Genies and/or his other works.
((Just a bit of a long post warning, I don’t think this one is quite as long as my Friendship Games thoughts. But still I ramble about this episode quite a bit, but obviously for a good reason since it’s undeniable this episode was a pretty big deal))
Well, unfortunately no. I can’t really catch livestreams that often. The tournaments usually played at a time I can’t watch. (I have limited bandwith at home, I use too much and it becomes a big bill if it goes over the limit)
Iiii’m also not quite as interested in competitive play in Smash as you and others might be ^^’ I pay enough attention that I get what characters are generally good. Like I’m certainly happy Sonic is seens as one of the better characters in the game for example. But otherwise I’m not quite as big on the competitive scene.
My younger brother is though. He’s huge into competitive Smash (On a side note, He just started College 2 days ago). He beats me most of the time in any Smash game we play together (Usually Smash 4 and/or Project M)
Feeling is mutual ^^ Glad you enjoyed it too. I also actually kinda like what you said over at Equestria Forums about Cinch. That maybe at one point Principal Cinch was like Twilight perhaps years ago at the very same Crystal Prep (We don’t know how old these schools are, it’s very possible) and the culture there was the same as ever even way back then and could of led Cinch to a path where she’d lead the school but her experiences over the years have made her jaded and corrupt enough to do what she must do to continue Crystal Prep’s winning streak as well as better then average grades rather then helping the students themselves.
It’s something that you can only make a theory about but for once it’s something to talk about Cinch rather then what most seem to be saying right now is the weakest part of the film in terms of her being the main villain (Even though of course I don’t count her as THE main antagonist given what I said over in my thoughts)
That’s good to hear. I figure at the very least a movie that covers this alternate world’s Twilight and her struggles provides a more intriguing base storyline then in the previous films.
Even if course the execution may vary depending on opinion. But I thought they did it really well myself.
